Respite care services are services provided to the consumer that give temporary relief to the usual caregivers and provide all the necessary care that the usual caregiver would provide during that time period.  The purpose of respite care is to enable the consumer to remain in the consumer’s current living situation.  Respite care is not to be provided to persons during the hours in which the usual caregiver is working.

Respite service can be provided on an individual basis in the home or in a group setting at the Hills & Dales Community Center.

A maximum of 14 consecutive days of 24-hour respite care may be reimbursed.
